Udala, pastel work

Every last quater of the year to the first quarter of the following year, this particular fruit tend to be in season. It is mainly found in the lower region of Nigeria. It is a native fruit that goes by different names. In my language ,Ibo , which is spoken in the eastern part of Nigeria, the name it is called is "UDALA". From the western part of Nigeria, in Yoruba language it is called "AGBALUMO"
I've always wanted to do a painting on our native fruit so I took the opportunity this season to do a still life on "UDALA.
I've always believe in the saying that goes thus" charity begins at home" and that is my message behind my kind of still life art
